Obituary of Arthur Bartell

Arthur Bartell passed away on January 11, 2017. He was 85 years old and kept his wonderful, lively sprits until the end, when he left us very peacefully. Arthur is survived by his loved grandchildren Nathan, Jordan, Nina, Zaria, and Milana, as well as his two sons, Danny Bartell and Stephen Bartell, and their wives Carla and Irina. He also leaves behind his sister Ethel Marx, and his many friends inside and outside the advertising industry. Arthur was born in Atlanta, and lived in Miami for many years before moving to Denver about 25 years ago. Among his many achievements, he was recognized in many publications as having sold more dollar volume in his career spanning over 60 years, than any other individual in the $32 billion Promotional Products Industry of Advertising. Arthur also won more international awards than any other individual in his industry, including 13 International Clio Statues and 24 Golden Pyramids, plus a National Addy of the Advertising Federation of the United States. Arthur went to the University of Georgia on a 4 year Music Scholarship. He was on the Dean’s List and was the first Freshman to be elected President of his college fraternity, AEPi. He was on the Varsity University of Georgia tennis team, and later played big-time tennis against some of the best in the world. Arthur was a veteran and served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was also in several Broadway shows before he began his advertising career. Arthur’s passion was his love for All Animals . . . in particular dogs. He also enjoyed feeding squirrels, bunny rabbits, and birds every day. Arthur was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. A celebration of his most-colorful life will follow at 125 Krameria Street in Denver from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. ++++++++++++
