Dear Mike, Don and Karen and your loving families,
At times like this, words seem so powerless to express my thoughts on
the passing of Shari. May the beautiful memories of a life lived to its fullest linger forever; may the sun warm you and the moon restore you ... may the stars light your path during this time of loss.
I know that each and everyday you will continue to honor your mom and her memory in the way you live you life.
I too, will keep my memories of a friendship of nearly 40 years, always.
with a warm heart and deepest sympathy,
I met Shari when I joined the School of Education faculty at UCD in 1975. Our common experiences at The University of Texas made us fast friends, frequently discussing issues in early childhood education. Unfortunately for UCD, Shari left for greener pastures, and we seldom ran into each other, but always with warmth--no problem with Shari. Recently, we would see each other at holiday celebrations at Phyllis Goodman's, occasions where her warmth and good cheer were on display. Many will miss Shari. I feel fortunate to have known her.
