I had the good fortune of being Eddie's neighbor for the last 15 years. His office was across the hall from mine in Cherry Creek. Eddie was a great friend. I saw him weekly for years, and though less so in the last few years, he'd still come into the office at least a few times a month. I enjoyed going to lunch with he and Dick, hearing their stories about Denver in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Talking cars, especially discussing the speed of his various Mercedes. According to Eddie his v12 is faster than Dick's coupe, though I imagine Dick would disagree. Discussing watches, telling stories, sharing jokes, Eddie made work days a lot more fun and interesting. His absence will be evident for a long time. Though he may not of known it, I consider both Eddie and Dick as mentors. He exemplified so many qualities that I admire and learned from. I will miss him.
