Obituary of Isaac Howard Kaiser
Isaac Howard Kaiser was born on January 27, 1930, to Benjamin Kaiser and Frances Goldfarb Kaiser. Ike spent his youth and early adulthood in Brooklyn NY in a close-knit family community. He attended Adelphi Academy, Brooklyn Tech, Franklin & Marshall College, and earned a Law degree at Yale Law School. Soon thereafter he moved to Denver Colorado where he would begin his law practice and have two children.
Ike had a deep love of nature and could often be found spending his free time exploring the beautiful Colorado wilderness. He loved fly fishing, hunting ducks & geese, sailing, skiing, snowmobiling, scuba diving, photography, racquet sports, golf, football, travel, the arts, and much more. He was a talented lawyer with a vast knowledge of law, ethics, and history and practiced across Colorado for over 60 years. Many of his clients were those who he felt were being taken advantage of, and he would often represent them pro-bono. Ike’s accomplishments as a lawyer were numerous. Especially notable was orchestrating the first in the nation, independent driver takeover of a Taxi company. Yellow Cab of Denver became the first ever driver owned co-op cab company in the late 1970’s. He also championed the rights and benefits of North Jeffco Firefighters, now West Metro, and created an exemplary relationship between management and the union which is the model of best practice for firefighters and management across the state. Ike had a deep love of his family and their history. He made friends everywhere he went with his engaging smile and wonderful adventurous stories of his life experiences.
