Obituary of Sandra "Sandy" Farb
Sandra (Sandy) Farb
April 1, 1938 – January 21, 2025
Northport, New York
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandy Farb on January 21, 2025. Sandy was born on April 1, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, to Jacob (Jack) and Victoria (Vicky) Pearlman. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and community volunteer whose warmth and generosity touched all who knew her.
Sandy was married to Charles (Charlie) Farb, her beloved husband, for 58 years. Sandy is survived by her two children: Andrea Robinson (George), and Scott Farb (Lisa) and grandchildren Andrew, Eric, and Lindsay Robinson, Alexandra Fenelon (Tom), and Gabrielle Farb, as well as her sister Linda Pearlman.
Sandy attended Hunter College in Manhattan and dedicated her career to early childhood education. She was a beloved kindergarten teacher at Crestwood Country Day School for 25 years.
Sandy was also deeply involved in the Northport community. She served as past President of the Huntington Neighbors and Newcomers Club, fostering connections and friendships. She volunteered with the Northport Visiting Nurse Association/Hospice and was an active member of the Northport Village Resident Association.
In addition to her professional and volunteer accomplishments, Sandy was known for her compassion and generosity, giving a helping hand to any and all who needed it. Her down-for-anything attitude could be seen in her countless travels with her family. She also loved to relax after a long day with a book in one hand and a cup of hot tea in the other.
Her legacy of love, service, and compassion will live on in all who were touched by her.
Services will be held at Temple Emanuel 51 Grape St, Denver, CO 80220 on Monday January 27th at 11:00 O’clock with lunch to follow at the Robinson residence. A celebration of life will be held in Northport at a future date.
