My condolences I am sure you will not remember me but I was in Columbus and had the honor of training Eric and Craig as they started to get involved in the business. I have worked in a lot of other places but Ken holds a very fond place in my heart. A quiet genius who cared about everyone. Craig and Eric, I doubt you remember me but you both made an imprint on my life. Too understand that the next generation carried the work ethic and integrity that Ken had was very impactful on my life. I remember Ken calling me why you guys were starting to train and he said Dan, don't let them off easy they need to learn and they need to be ready for what's next. Son and Son in Law of the founder was a bit nerve-racking but you guys made it fun and easy. You put your heads down you worked hard, you learned quickly but most of all you were like Ken. I think of him often and am sad to see he has passed but he left me fond memories and a lot of wisdom for my future.
Blessings,
Dan Anderson - Former Tuttle Mall General Manager

We were so sad and shocked to hear the news about Ken. For years we have wanted to contact you and reconnect. How time/life flies by before you realize it. Ed started working for Ken & Linda doing remodel projects on their home in Chesterfield, MO. They took us under their wing and treated us like family. Linda even helped my husband pick out my engagement ring. Thirty plus years ago, Ken and Linda convinced us to go into business together. They assured us that a husband and wife could be successful if you’re willing to work hard for what you want and stay committed. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for them and we’re forever grateful for their generosity and faith in us. We’ll never forget you both. Our sincere condolences to Linda and their family. ♥

My mother worked at Karstev’s dress shop to help pay for college for my brother and me. She said Ken was the best person she ever worked for. I had the privilege of working with Ken when the St. Louis Bread Company was in its infancy and when he started Garbonzo Mediterranean Fresh as well. In addition being an innovator way ahead of his time in the restaurant business, he was an absolutely wonderful person who remained humble and grateful..

I remember Ken from back in the day. He actually hired me early on to help him do a few things with Kenlyn the clothing store near where we live. He was always courteous. He was always nice very pleasant and then he supplied Bagels for many years to our class reunions which was extremely generous. May his memory be a blessing he was a Mench.
