Obituary of Kathleen Patricia Elbinger

Feb. 26, 1953 - April 27, 2025

Kathleen Patricia Elbinger Grazi passed away after a long illness. Born in Whittier, California, she joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged before moving to Colorado in 1985 where she married Michael Grazi two years later. As a little girl, Kathy loved to fish—the best in the family. Kathy loved horseback riding. She competed in barrel racing and when she grew up, she raised her own horses. Kathy loved romance writing and traveling. Her favorite trips were chasing solar eclipses. She loved to crochet. She loved animals and had a show dog cocker spaniel named Dino. Kathy was especially fond of her cats, her favorite was Siggy. Later in life, she took up beading and won awards for her beaded jewelry. She is survived by her husband, Michael of 36 years, her brother Steven Elbinger and sister-in-law Susan Elbinger, niece Rachel (with David Monico), nephews Grant Elbinger (with Tessa Gonzales) and Luke Elbinger. She is also survived by grand-niece Makini and grand-nephews Makoa and Kawai. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rose Johnson and Father Bernard Elbinger.

A service will be held at Temple Sinai on Wednesday, April 30^th, 11am; Livestream by Temple Sinai; Interment to follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
