Obituary of Philip Stahl

Philip L. Stahl, 94, Denver, passed away on May 17, 2025, with loved ones by his side.

Born in Dallas, TX, on July 14, 1930, Phil moved to Denver with his family when he was 12 years old. He graduated from West High School and shortly thereafter joined the U. S. Army, stationed in Japan and achieving the rank of corporal. He married “Sugie” Sugarman in 1955; they welcomed their daughter Marcie in 1959 and divorced in 1979. Phil was a very successful businessman, starting Factory Outlet Stores in 1964. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing golf.

Phil had many close friends who adored him. The loves of his life were his family, and the addition of his 3 great-grandchildren brought him immense joy. He will be greatly missed.

Philip was the father of Marcie (Philip) Munishor; son of Sol and Bessie Stahl, both of blessed memory; brother of Stanley (Yvonne) Stahl and Alice (Sherwin) Littman; grandfather of Hava Munishor and Yael (Netanel) Weinstein; great-grandfather of Leora, Leba, and Zev Weinstein; uncle of Annik Stahl, Steven Stahl, Erika (David) Kaye, Jay Littman, Michael (Nikki) Littman, and Alan (Jennifer) Littman. He is also survived by his close companion Ruth Epstein.

Service, Monday, May 19^th, 1:00 PM, Feldman Mortuary Chapel; Livestream on the Feldman Mortuary YouTube channel; Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Phil’s name may be made to Leket, Friends of the IDF, The Denver Kehillah, or charity of choice.
