Barb was the sister my parents never provided for me; I was 10 when my brother first brought her around. Little did I know that it would be the beginning of an incredible bond that’s lasted many decades. She had an incredible knack of making others feel like the most important person around - Barb was everyone’s “rock”. Teacher, business owner, absolute kid magnet (of any age)! She was crazy smart, kind, witty and caring. And the hostess with the mostest, able to whip up a delicious feast at what seemed like a moment’s notice. When circumstances dictated, she faced life’s curveballs with the utmost strength and dignity, and despite what may have been going on in her own life, always had the time and desire to comfort others for whatever they were going through. Our whole family misses her so. I, like many others, am a better person for having had Barb in my life. Her memory will definitely be a blessing to all who knew her
