To the Goodman Family
I met Phyllis in the early 80’s when we moved to Colorado from California. We had no family in the Denver area but my husband , Lowell, needed to be in a city to do his job.
Stan was one of Lowell’s first clients and we soon got to know Reid and Linda. Phyllis just made me feel like an insider from the very beginning, like one of the family. Sometimes she just fussed over me like my mom would have. Like buttoning a button I missed or straightening my collar. She had a way of doing it that I was never offended. It just felt like it came from a place of love. Maybe it was because we didn’t have family here that I was her little orphan girl. We usually saw them socially at Reid and Linda’s but she always made me feel welcomed. Getting to know Reid and Linda was a bonus. But she always made me feel like one of the family as did Stan. You have had such special parents and we have a saying, To whom much has been given, much will be required. I can certainly say that Reid and Linda have been as giving to us as Phyllis and Stan when he was with us. She will be greatly missed.
Much love,
Peggy Adrian
