Aunt Carol, Thank you for all of the love and support throughout the years. For nourishing us on Thanksgiving and Passover. For teaching me to be a proud feminist and to fight for women's rights. For modeling how to value our familial and Jewish heritage. For sharing your treasured New York on all of the tours and walks and adventures. For encouraging me to travel and experience the world with curiosity and a sense of social justice. For always being there for my father, for being his mentor, his sounding board, his beloved older sister. I will miss you so. Love always, Maya

Carol and I grew a close and special friendship over the past 5 years. She was funny and feisty and we truly enjoyed our time spent together. I love her very much and I will truly miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family. Rest in beautiful peace Miss Carol.
