We have a relatively small family of which Joe was an outsize member. His great warmth, smile, humor, way with words, graciousness and savoir faire will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all in our clan. He was a wonderful brother and uncle, and most importantly, a genuinely good guy. All our love to him and our kin.

Sending my deepest condolences to the Kelso family. I am so very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I met Joe virtually during COVID thru Toastmasters. Even though it has only been over the screen, Joe left a lasting impression on me. I was soooo very fond of the many stories he shared of growing up in Missouri. I am very grateful to have known him and absolutely treasured any feedback or words of wisdom he provided to me.
Rest well Joe

I have such fond memories of spending time with Joe. I met Joe in 2011 in Toastmasters and was always pleased to see him in the meetings. He always had a smile and a kind word. I had the pleasure of joining him for a night at the theater in September 2015, he said his tickets were always for his family first and then he would offer them to friends who shared his interests. A fabulous conversationalist, Joe was a great "date", I so enjoyed his company. He was a great speaker, an amazing storyteller, a gentleman and a sharp dresser. He made an impression on my life that will stay with me always.

My heart breaks to hear this news, but what a treasure Joe was in my life! Joe hired me at HUD 19 years ago this month, and encouraged me to join Toastmasters with him, which I enjoyed for many, many years. I am so thankful to have been able to share lunches with him and to have joined him for an Opera on occasion. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Our hearts are broken to hear the news of Joe's passing. We have known Joe for many many years. He was always a gentleman with a great sense of humor. We loved his stories, especially the one about how he met his beautiful Francine. He will be dearly missed but always fondly remembered. Our thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family.

My heart is heavy! I was in toastmasters with Joe for a lot of years and will miss him regaling us with stories of his military and travel adventures. He was such an important part of our club and a good friend. If possible, I would love details regarding his service. Prayers to all.
