Obituary of Lola Slackman
Lola Slackman, 93, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and successful business woman passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. Lola was born in Bronx, NY on April 25, 1932.
Lola loved people and had a gift for forming long lasting relationships and friendships. Her unique talent for putting people at ease in any conversation and her true interest in their lives were one of the many things that made her so special. She was able to utilize those talents along with her organizational skills to be a successful business owner. Lola was also a wonderful cook. Among her best dishes were her amazing stuffed cabbage, delicious cherry pie and perfect Matzoh ball soup.
Lola is pre-deceased by her husbands Stuart Frankel and Peter Slackman. She is survived by 3 children and their spouses Ilene and Robert, Alan and Caren, Eric and Nancy; 4 grandchildren along with their spouses/partners - Rachel and Amos, Robert and Amelie, Jacob and Christina, Gabrielle and Rob. Lola was also a proud great-grandmother to Jonah and Asher.
A Service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels; Guests are encouraged to arrive at 10:15am to the funeral home, the service will begin promptly at 10:30am.
