In Loving Memory of Dr. Steven Michael Greenwood

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Steven Michael Greenwood, who died peacefully at the age of 82 on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Steven will be profoundly missed by his devoted wife of 52 years, Susan; his sister, Judy Pollack; his children, Eric and Nicole Greenwood, Tracy and Scott Klein, Julie Greenwood and Ilya Nudelman; and his cherished grandchildren, Emma, Victoria, Daniel, Tali, Maya, and Murray.

A distinguished pathologist, Steven served as a physician in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox before embarking on a long and impactful career as a clinician, educator, and practitioner. His dedication to medicine was matched only by his love for his family and the outdoors.

Steven was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who inspired his family with a lifelong passion for skiing, biking, and nature. Upon retirement, he embraced mountain life with enthusiasm, spending summers hiking Colorado’s majestic 14ers and biking through alpine trails. In winter, he skied avidly and gave back to the community as a volunteer ambassador at Copper Mountain and a contributor to the Breckenridge Historical Center.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Brittany Morrell for her exceptional care and compassion over the past five years.

Steven’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he nurtured, and the mountains he loved.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, at 11:00am at Golden Hill Cemetery. Livestream will be available via Feldman Mortuary YouTube Channel. 

Visitation will begin after the funeral at the home of Tracy and Scott Klein, 5131 S Hanover St
Englewood, CO 80111, from approximately 1:30pm until 3:30pm on Wednesday.

Thursday Shiva will be held at the home of Julie Greenwood and Ilya Nudelman, 5768 S Kenton St, Englewood, CO 8011, from 3:30-7:00pm with Minyan at 5:30pm.

Friday Shiva will be held at the home of Susan Greenwood, 8748 Mesquite Row, Lone Tree, CO 80124, from 3:00-5:00pm with minyan at 4:00pm.
