while not unexpected the feeling of loss is of course quite 'there' in addition to the realization of how irreplaceable Harriet is to this world. My short time with her (lunch at Hillstone--a fave of hers) was so cool, she wore her cowboy boots and was really game for the visit! Yet until reading her obit I had no idea what a full life she had. Most of my time, especially when I lived in Dallas 4 years and worked for Sam Weintraub Jr., was spent with Mackey--another true 'card' from the family. Harriet at lunch was "more of a character" than most people decades younger, and we laughed so much it was not easy to have the lunch. Best wishes to the family and hope somehow our paths cross though being up here in Fort Collins we are a bit off the path. Every time we drive to Denver however, I am reminded about the Kurtz family history there in Plattville where there are still folks living who remember them. Take care all...
