Obituary of Bonnie Shore

Bonnie Shore, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025.  She is survived by her two children, Marc Cohen (Cate) and Stephanie George (Chris), and by her four grandchildren, Mason, Abby, Isla, and Henry, who brought her endless joy, as well as her siblings, Lucky Shore (Judy of blessed memory), Richard Shore (Diana), and Linda Waldbaum (Philp).

Bonnie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications and Language from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Denver.  She dedicated many years to making a difference in the lives of children as an early education speech pathologist in the Aurora Public Schools.  Even after her retirement, her expertise and warmth were so valued that she was often invited back to support the schools when help was needed. 

In addition to education, Bonnie found great joy in art.  She was a docent at the Denver Art Museum, a collector of western art, and a consultant in an art gallery.  She cherished life's simple pleasures, whether playing golf, spending time with her grandchildren, sharing a meal with loved ones, or taking long walks with friends.  She had a gift for making everyone around her feel at ease, radiating a loving spirit and always finding something positive to say.   A devoted and loyal friend, she consistently offered the perfect words of encouragement and lent a listening ear to those who needed support.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Denver Art Museum, a place that reflected her lifelong passion for art, or to Children's Hospital Colorado, which supported both her daughter and her grandson.

Service: Wednesday, October 8th, 10:00 AM at Feldman Mortuary
Interment: Emanuel Cemetery (inside of Fairmount Cemetery)

Shiva: Will be held on October 8th at Marc Cohen's residence (3166 S. Steele St. Denver, CO 80210) beginning at 2:00 PM, with services at 5:00 PM.
