Obituary of John Andrew Fiedelman

Johnnie A. “Keoni” Fiedelman, age 17, passed away on October 6th, 2025, in Breckenridge, CO.

Johnnie was born on December 12th, 2007, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Frisco, CO. He attended Upper Blue Elementary until the 2nd grade, after which he moved to Fairplay to attend Edith Teeter Elementary, then on to South Park High, where he enjoyed playing basketball and being a member of the Jazz and Concert Bands. Johnnie then moved back to Breckenridge to attend Summit High for the 2024/25 school year, where he developed a love for ping-pong and furthered his musical capabilities by tutoring and mentoring younger musicians. He was an Honor Roll Student and looked forward to attending college the following year.

Keoni lived in Breckenridge with his grandparents. He lovingly cared for them by toting them around town, running errands, and shoveling mounds and mounds of snow off their decks. In the summertime, he explored Arvada on his electric bike, went bowling, and played baseball in the park with his dad and stepmom. He was beginning to develop a wicked curveball, which would have surely left batters stumped come springtime. When it was too hot, there were always old and new friends to meet at the mall.

The rec center was one of Johnnie’s favorite hangouts. He put his pass to good use by working out and soaking in the hot tub nearly every day. Other pastimes he enjoyed with his family and wide circle of friends included online gaming, skateboarding, and playing chess with Grammy. He played bass and drums and often had jam sessions with his father, which lasted for hours.

Keoni loved food. People were always amazed by how much food he could pack in. His favorites were everything Italian, stir fry with rice, Dad’s French toast, dumplings, strawberries, and bacon. But let’s not forget the trips to Daylight Donuts with "Grampy.”

Keoni was caring and compassionate, always willing to help others, and quick to offer big hugs. Often putting others’ needs before his own, he had so much love to give and wasn’t embarrassed to show it. He made friends wherever he went. He was, and will always be, a guiding light to all the lives he touched. Fly high, Sweet Boy.

This beautiful, bright soul is survived by his father, John Charles Fiedelman (Amanda Bichsel); Grandparents, William and Adele Fiedelman; Auntie Rosie Lani Fiedelman (Joseph Poinsky); Auntie Dolly Keala Fiedelman (Terri Johanson).
