Obituary of Ashton Rollins II
Ashton Rollins II, 87, passed away peacefully on October 11th, 2025, following a brief illness.
Ashton was born in 1938 to Edward and Georgianna Elizabeth (Chapman) Rollins in Dover, New Hampshire, and was the oldest of five children. Raised in Dover, New Hampshire, and Eliot, Maine, Ashton attended local schools while enjoying the woods and water surrounding his family home, Three Rivers Farm.
He graduated from Eliot High School in 1956 and went on to receive degrees from Wesleyan University and Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He later joined the New Hampshire Air National Guard and was a navigator throughout his thirty-year career, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
An avid skier, sailor, and diver, Ashton traveled the world during his military career and after retirement. He loved the outdoors and was in excellent physical health in his younger years.
Ashton was blessed with three generations of children, all of whom surrounded him with love in his last hours: his daughters, Kirsten Arvenitis (Christopher) and Sarah Rollins, his grandchildren Benjamin Arvenitis and Isabella Arvenitis (children of Kirsten and Christopher), Chase Walden (Andra), Ashton Walden, and Kiya Luth (children of Sarah); and his great-grandson Archer Walden (son of Chase and Andra). Ashton was pre-deceased by his first wife, Sue Rollins (Mrs. Gene Young), the mother of their two daughters. Rest in peace, Dad.
