Obituary of Chaia Shifra Abadi

Chaia Shifra Abadi, 75, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Colorado Springs.

Born to parents Eli Friedman and Tovah Née Zilburberg in Israel. They preceded her in death.

Chaia is survived by her loving husband, Jacob Abadi; daughters Shelley (Angela) Abadi and Galia (Peter) Abadi; and grandchildren Eliza and Estelle.

Born in Israel and immigrated to the United States, Chaia held dual citizenship and maintained close relationships with family and friends in both Israel and the U.S.

She graduated from Hebrew University, studying economics, and achieved a master’s in business administration of information systems. She also earned her Certified Public Accountant license and worked diligently as the chief financial officer in the retail industry.

Chaia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dear and trusted friend.

Her family was everything to her.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, beginning at 10 am at Mount Nebo Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado, celebrated by Cantor Marty Goldstein.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in her memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
