Obituary of Helen Bernstein

Helen Bernstein, 97, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in Denver, Colorado.

Born in New York to parents Rubin Kaplan and Bertha née Wesen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Bernstein, of blessed memory.

Survivors include her daughters Karen (David Flores) Bernstein and Alison (Tom, of blessed memory) Greengard; sister Nira (Eliyahu) Yakir, of blessed memory; grandchildren Rachel (Joe) Galt, David Greengard, Jamie (Daniel) Flores Wright, Lucy (Corbin Lichtinger) Flores; great-grandchildren Jasi Galt, Jay Galt, Jackson Wright, Nicholas Wright, Gideon Lichtinger, and Wes Lichtinger.

A funeral service will be held at Feldman Mortuary Chapel on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Services will be available via livestream on Feldman YouTube Channel #2.

Interment following the service at Golden Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, Colorado.

Shiva will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 12:30 pm – 3 pm at the home of Rachel Galt, 2176 S. Parfet Ct. Lakewood, CO. 80227.

The remainder of Shiva will be private.
