Obituary of Sharon Schatzberg
Sharon Schatzberg passed away on January 30 at the age of 89. She spent most of her life in Spring Valley, New York, where she raised her family, and later retired to Boynton Beach, Florida. There, she embraced the sunshine, enjoyed playing tennis, and formed many meaningful friendships.
Sharon was first married to Mortimer Miller and later to Seymour Schatzberg. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life revolved around her deep love for family. She faced a long and debilitating illness with remarkable courage, strength, and dignity, inspiring all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving children: her daughter Kyle Jonas and her husband Lenny; her son Randall Miller and his wife Joanne; and her daughter Janice Greenberg and her husband Andrew.
Sharon was a cherished grandmother to Lainey, Sarah, Matthew, Brittany, and Miriam, and a proud great-grandmother to Noah, Mason, Ryan, Bodie, Frankie, and Parker.
She took immense pride in her family and found her greatest joy in the generations she helped shape. Sharon will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on through the family she treasured so deeply.
The family will be sitting shiva at Kyle and Lenny Jonas’ home on Monday, February 2, 5pm - 8pm.
