Obituary of Melvin Eskanos

 

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mel Eskanos, 93, on February 4th, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. He fought the battle with courage and a smile.  


Mel is survived by his wife of 68 years, Louise, and children, Debby (Bill) Schlozman, Barry (Ami) Eskanos, Sandi (Andor) Schwartz, Danny (Alicia) Eskanos, and Robby Eskanos. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His granddaughter, Maxine Connelly z’l, unfortunately preceded him in death.


Mel was the son of Eva z’l and Rubin Eskanos z’l of Colorado Springs, and a brother to Rochelle Barkan z’l (Phil) and Irwin (Vivian) Eskanos.

 

He will be laid to rest on Thursday, February 5th, 3:30 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery (6841 E. 62nd Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022); Livestream available on the  Feldman YouTube Channel.

Sunday, Feb 8th Shacharit at 8 am with visitation until 10 am. Monday, Feb 9, Tuesday, Feb 10 and Wednesday, Feb 11, Shacharit at 7 am. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening services at 5:15 pm with visitation from 3 pm until 7 pm.
