Caroline “Calla” Burke

April 7, 1944 — April 5, 2026

Caroline “Calla” Burke died peacefully on April 5, 2026, with her beloved husband, John, of 60 years by her side.

Calla was born on April 7, 1944, in Detroit Michigan to Quail Howell and Louise Hassler. Calla attended Colorado State University in the fall of 1964. While at CSU, she met John Burke, and they married in 1966.

Calla was a very active wife and mother, volunteering for her children’s schools, sports teams, and nonprofits. She had a long career as a National Certified Records Administrator for Champlin Petroleum, Coors, Holland & Hart, and CoBank.

Calla passed from our lives on April 5, 2026. She will be profoundly missed by her husband, John Burke; her 2 children, Shannon Burke and John Burke (Sharla Cordova); and her three grandchildren, Clayton, Burke, Eli Burke, and Caroline Burke-Dullinger.

Celebration of Life, Sunday April 12th, 2pm, Temple Emanuel in the courtyard.
