Obituary of Jack Monene
1937 – April 15, 2026
Jack Monene, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Centennial, Colorado. He was 88 years old.
Born in 1937 in Corning, New York, to Abe and Minnie Monene, Jack went on to attend Hobart University before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. He served two years in the artillery with the 21st Infantry, working in the Fire Direction Center in Hawaii.
Jack built a life defined by hard work, community, and an unshakeable devotion to his family. He enjoyed a long career in sales as a manufacturer's representative, selling children's books, bathroom accessories, area rugs, and chemicals. He also worked repairing computers before perhaps his most meaningful professional chapter came when he and his beloved wife, Brenda, founded International Deaftek — a pioneering business that provided email communication services to the deaf and hard of hearing, beginning in the 1970s.
Jack raised his family in Framingham, Massachusetts, later retiring to Summerville, South Carolina, before making a final move to Aurora, Colorado — closer to the grandchildren he adored.
Those who knew Jack knew that no encounter with him was brief. He spoke to everyone he met. He had an inexhaustible supply of stories and jokes, and a gift for turning a stranger into a friend. He was remarkably handy, and neighbors could always count on him when a project needed doing or a repair needed making. He was equally at home with a fishing rod in his hand or at the shooting range.
Jack is survived by his wife, Brenda; his daughter, Beth; his son, Marc, and Marc's wife, Anna; and his three grandchildren, Mia, Sara, and Ari — who were, without question, the light of his final years.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.
Interment, Tuesday, April 21st, 10:30am, Fort Logan National Cemetery. Meeting at Staging Area: White by 10:15am. Livestream will be available via Feldman Mortuary's YouTube Channel.
