Obituary of Tara Nicole Schoenwald

Tara Nicole Schoenwald

February 24, 1982 – April 15, 2026

Tara Nicole Schoenwald, of Denver, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on April 15, 2026, at the age of 44.

Tara was a woman of remarkable character, honest, conscientious, and deeply creative. She never tried to be anyone other than herself, remaining steadfast in her principles, beliefs, and standards throughout her life. With every disappointment and challenge she faced, her wisdom, courage, and determination grew in ways that were beyond measure. Her faith was unwavering, even in the hardest of times. As a mother, she was patient and loving, consistently modeling the very expectations she held for her daughters and demonstrating the quiet strength of her convictions.

Tara was born on February 24, 1982, at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. She attended Denver Montessori Preschool before going on to Colorado Academy from kindergarten through eighth grade. Desiring a broader cultural experience, she transferred to East High School, where she discovered a passion for fashion design. She graduated in 2000, a personal milestone that beautifully coincided with the dawn of a new century, and went on to earn a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from Colorado State University.

Tara possessed a rare and genuine eye for beauty. Her passions for fashion, interior design, and art were not passing interests but a reflection of how she moved through the world, with intention, elegance, and an instinct for what was truly beautiful. She had an extraordinary ability to see and create harmony in her surroundings, and those who knew her well recognized that her taste was not something she cultivated but something she simply was.

Her Jewish faith was a cornerstone of her life. Both her Bat Mitzvah and Confirmation were celebrated at Temple Emanuel, and she hoped deeply that her daughters would one day walk that same path. Tara was a devoted philanthropist for Jewish causes, giving generously of her time, resources, and heart to support Jewish communities and culture. Her commitment to preserving and strengthening that legacy was an expression of who she was at her core.

Following her graduation from CSU, Tara joined Louis Vuitton, where over the course of twelve years she continuously grew her skills and advanced her career. In December 2015, she joined Bona and found her true calling in Human Resources, ultimately serving as Director of Human Resources, responsible for all of North America, Latin America, and Global Operations. At Bona, Tara found a genuine sense of belonging and took deep pride in the impact she had on the people and the business around her. The relationships she built there were a testament to who she was, and the Bona community stood faithfully by her side throughout her courageous battle with cancer.

Tara is survived by her beloved husband, Derrick Lamm; her adoring daughters, Jordan Lauren Lamm and Sloan Estee Lamm; and her loving parents, Patty and Larry Schoenwald.
