Obituary of Nancy Strear
Nancy Strear passed away on April 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A Denver native, Nancy was born on May 4, 1948, to Naomi z"l" and Pine (Irving) Strear z"l".
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth and Andrea Minor, sister, Barbara (Marty) Dubin, nieces Julie (Glen) Greene, Jennifer (Jason) Rich, and nephew Rabbi Jay (Beth) Strear, niece Emily (Chris Russell) and nephew, Jonathan (Jessica) Dubin - 11 Great nephews and nieces. Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Michael Strear z"l".
Growing up in an artistic family, Nancy displayed an early talent for art and became an accomplished painter and multimedia artist. She shared her gift as a teacher in Denver Public Schools, inspiring countless young students with her passion for creativity and curiosity for learning.
Nancy and Elizabeth loved traveling and making memories together. Road trips were their thing. In recent years, Nancy was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking online art classes and developing connections with artists around the world. These creative pursuits, along with time spent with her daughter Elizabeth, sister Barbara, her cat Dolly, and her family and friends, helped ease the difficulty of the last few years as she bravely fought and faced cancer. Nancy's artistic eye, dry sense of humor, and bright laugh will be deeply missed.

Shiva will be held following the services until 8 pm and Monday April 27th from 3 - 8 at the home of Barbara and Marty Dubin. Minyan will be held both days at 7 pm.
