Obituary of Boris M. Nepomnyaschiy
Boris Nepomnyaschiy was born on May 20, 1956, in Ukraine, and on April 23, 2026, he passed from this world in Aurora, Colorado, leaving behind a life of warmth, devotion, and quiet grace.
In the great theatre of life, Boris played his part with a generous heart and a steadfast spirit. He was a person who could befriend anyone, and his kindness knew no limits. Those who knew him found in him a companion most true and gave all of himself for those he held close.
Boris held his family close. He is lovingly remembered by Mila Nepomnyaschiy, his wife, whose hand and heart walked beside his through the seasons of life. He is also remembered by his father, Mikhail Nepomnyaschiy, by his daughter, Ilona Compton, by his son-in-law, Ian Compton, and by his two grandsons, who brought delight and laughter to his later years.
To his family, he was not only husband, son, father, and grandfather, but also a source of comfort, strength, and enduring affection. He cherished the company of his children, grandchildren, and parents, and he found deep joy in being surrounded by loved ones. His life was shaped by the traditions of his Jewish and Ukrainian heritage. He understood that love was measured in presence and was a pillar of support to his family and friends.
Boris also loved to travel, and among all journeys, he held a special fondness for the beach in Mexico, where sun, sea, and sand gave him rest and delight. His tenderness extended beyond humankind to the creatures of the earth. Boris loved animals dearly, and even after retirement, he returned to his place of work each weekend to feed the cats who lived nearby. This humble act revealed the measure of his character. He did not think kindness too small to matter, nor did he turn aside from those who depended upon him.
Now that his earthly voyage is ended, Boris Nepomnyaschiy is remembered not in sorrow alone, but in gratitude for the years he was granted and the love he gave so freely. Though death has claimed his mortal frame, it cannot dim the light he kindled in the lives of others. His memory abides in the laughter of his grandchildren, in the devotion of his wife, in the love of his family, and in every gentle act that bore his signature of kindness.
Let it be spoken, then, that Boris lived with a friendly soul and a creative spirit, and that he left this world richer for his having passed through it. His days were marked by love, by faith, by travel, by family, and by mercy toward every living creature. In the hearts of those who knew him, he shall remain ever cherished, ever honored, and ever remembered.
A graveside service will be held at Emanuel Cemetery on Tuesday, April 28th, starting at 11:45 am.
Livestream services will be available via Zoom.
