Obituary of Marina Levine
Marina Levine, beloved wife of Ralph Levine, passed away on May 8, 2026.
Marina was born in Novara, Italy, on May 5th, 1936. When she was only four years old, her family escaped to Argentina during the war. At age 18, she came to the United States to attend college and met the love of her life, Ralph, at University of California, Berkeley. After college, they settled in Michigan, where she began her 30-year career as a trilingual school psychologist. Upon retiring, she opened her own substance abuse counseling practice and spent the next 10 years doing what she loved most — helping others.
Marina loved swimming and even competed alongside her husband in the Masters Swimming program, earning many medals and ribbons. She also loved traveling the world and frequently visited Italy, Argentina, and Venezuela. Her adventures included an African safari, an Alaskan cruise, and a trip to Machu Picchu in Peru.
A true dog lover at heart, Marina adored all of her dogs, who were lucky to be loved by her. She enjoyed taking them on walks around the neighborhood and to Red Cedar in East Lansing.
She also enjoyed espresso from Starbucks, Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream, hot chocolate, Baci, torrone, and nocciola gelato.
Ralph and Marina enjoyed 67 years of marriage.
