Obituary of Danny Allan Levitt
Danny (“Dan”) Allan Levitt, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and mentor, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Dan was born on June 1, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, to Jack and Charleen Levitt. He graduated from Colorado State University and furthered his education by earning an Executive MBA from the University of Denver.
Dan married the love of his life, Jean Melissa Buchanan, on March 6, 1983. Together they built a beautiful life in the Denver area, where they raised their two sons, David Andrew and Jeffrey Allan.
Dan’s professional career in sales spanned 48 years, from selling broadcast software to sales consulting, training, and mentoring. Throughout his career he developed, led and inspired many younger colleagues.
He was an avid Denver sports fan, an enthusiastic golfer, and loved the National Western Stock Show, as well as the beaches of Hawaii.
Dan will be remembered for his gift of caring for others. He was deeply loyal to his friends and loved sharing good meals and laughter with them. Most of all, he will be remembered for his passionate love for his family and his wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean; his sons, David Levitt (Elizabeth Lord) and Jeffrey Levitt (Elizabeth); and his three cherished granddaughters, Betty, Lucy, and Leighton. He is brother to Jim Levitt (Shirley), sisters Terri Heywood (Wilf of blessed memory) and Cindy Levitt of blessed memory, brother-in-law to Dan Buchanan (Kim) and uncle to many beloved nieces and nephews.
