Phil Wolf was a wonderful, loving human being. A prominent, academic cardiologist well known and respected by students, patients and colleagues throughout the state of Colorado. I was honored to receive a copy from Phil of the latest edition of a cardiology text - AUSCULTATION OF THE HEART, signed by Phil and his cardiology partners - a real treasure. It is but one of Phil's many contributions to education in the field of cardiology. Phil and his wife Angie, were the first Denver couple that we were privledged to meet when my wife Kay and I arrived in Colorado, in the early 70's. It was in Aspen, at a medical meeting. Our friendship on this earth lasted until the death of Angie and now Phil. In later years, our physical disabilities and travel distance limited our even closer association. We, in Pueblo, have been even further blessed by Phil's daughter, Amy and her husband Dean Volk, both physicians, who chose to live here in Pueblo, raising wonderful and gifted children that made grampa Phil, proud. The entire Sweet, Kay, Pringle family will miss this incredible man, who deeply and lovingly affected all of us . He will always be remembered for of his genuine interest in our lives and our families through all the passage of years we were together. Even if we were separated by decades and miles., he was always there for us in the good times and the bad. Phil was the true definition of a friend! of our lives.
