Obituary of Dr. Reuven Geller

Dr. Reuven Geller, age 80, of Greenwood Village, Colorado, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Reuven was born on November 5, 1945, in Romania. He spent his childhood in Vienna, Austria, before later moving to Jerusalem, Israel. Driven by a lifelong passion for learning and helping others, he pursued higher education and went on to complete his medical studies at the renowned Hadassah Medical School.

Reuven and his beloved wife, Ada Geller (Rais), of blessed memory, moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he and Ada had their son Gayor, and he completed his medical residency at University of Pittsburgh. In 1980, they settled in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Reuven built a successful medical practice and dedicated more than two decades to caring for his patients and serving his community.

Following retirement, Reuven and Ada relocated to Denver, Colorado, to be closer to their son. Reuven had a deep love of reading, history, sports, and his Jewish heritage. He possessed an extraordinary knowledge of historical events, politics, and athletics, and could effortlessly discuss subjects ranging from ancient civilizations to current affairs. A devoted Pittsburgh sports fan, he especially cherished recounting stories of the Pittsburgh Pirates teams of the 1970s as though the games had been played only yesterday.

While he enjoyed following sports of every kind, nothing brought him greater joy than watching his grandchildren pursue their passions. Whether cheering for his grandson, Asher, on the lacrosse field or watching his granddaughter, Maddie, dance at Cherry Creek sporting events, Reuven was their proudest supporter. Above all else, he treasured his family. His greatest source of pride, happiness, and purpose was the time he spent with those he loved, especially Maddie and Asher.

Reuven is survived by his son, Gayor Geller (Stephanie), and his beloved grandchildren, Madilynn and Asher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Lydia Geller, and by his beloved wife, Ada Geller nee Rais, his best friend, partner, and the love of his life.

A graveside service will be held at Mount Nebo Memorial Park on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Livestream will be available via Feldman Mortuary’s YouTube channel.
