Genya Reznik

November 20, 1937 – June 17, 2026

Genya Reznik, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family.

Genya was born on November 20, 1937, in the small village of Virtuzhany, Moldova. Following the hardships of World War II, her family relocated to Kiev, where she spent much of her youth. On May 12, 1945, her beloved brother, Boris, was born, beginning a lifelong bond between them.

After earning her college degree, Genya pursued a career as an engineer in Kiev, where she was respected for her intelligence, dedication, and hard work.

In December 1960, she married the love of her life, Yefim Reznik. Together they built a beautiful family and shared many happy years. Their daughter, Marina, was born on November 1, 1961, bringing great joy to their lives.

In 1995, Genya and her family immigrated to the United States in search of new opportunities and a brighter future. They were warmly welcomed by their American family, Tanya and Gennadiy, whose support and kindness helped them build a new life in their adopted homeland.

In 2003, Genya suffered the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Yefim. Despite this profound loss, she continued to live with grace, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. She spent the remainder of her life surrounded by those she cherished most, living with Marina and her family and taking great pride in watching her family grow across generations.

Genya is survived by her brother, Boris; her daughter, Marina; her son-in-law, Senya, her grandchildren, Inna and Alex; and her three great-grandchildren, Ralph Fiona and Emily. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Genya will be remembered for her strength, kindness, wisdom, and deep love for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

We will forever remember her in our hearts.
