Kees was a great man. I may have only known him for 8 months, but I am very grateful for the time we had together. I just wish we had more. It feels like yesterday when I was with him for his New Employee Orientation a week after mine. I'm so sorry. I know that we'll always remember him and we know he's here in our hearts. I will always remember our time and talks together, whether it was about Metallica, football, basketball, college, or anything else. Rest in peace, brother. Say hi to Cliff Burton up there, and let him know that Metallica is still going strong and of course that you saw them 5 times. Kees McConnell, we love you forever. Fly high.
To anyone reading this, Kees was always the coolest and nicest guy to have around. He loved his family and friends so much and he was always so proud of you, and will continue to be for eternity.
