Obituary of Samuel Rosefsky
Samuel Jean Rosefsky passed away on June 21, 2026, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, surrounded by his family.
Sam was born November 19, 1943 to Harold and Ruth Rosefsky. He was raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and moved to Morris, Illinois, at the age of 18. Alongside his wife, Patricia (Ragan), he operated Bedford Sales, a marine business that they built together over 51 years. Sam's kindness, work ethic, and genuine care for others earned him respect and loyalty and a community that extended well beyond Illinois. He built a business rooted in relationships and trust.
Sam's passions included fishing and classic cars, and he formed countless friendships through both. He brought warmth and generosity to those around him.
Above all else, Sam was an affectionate husband and an extraordinary father. He loved his family unconditionally and wholeheartedly. Kind and gentle, he spent his life expressing his pride and his love for his wife and children. A born peacemaker, he set an example of how to care for others selflessly and generously. His children are forever grateful for knowing they had all anyone could ever ask for in a father and so much more. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Sam is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia "Pat"; his children, Andrea, Ashley, Amber, and Marc; and six grandchildren, Kinsman, Eli, Cole, Madeline, Ethan, and Declan; and his sister, Susan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Rosefsky, and his sister, Bonnie.
His legacy lives on in the family and friendships he treasured and the countless lives he touched through his kindness and generosity. May his memory be a blessing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
