Obituary of Adrienne Marsha Levy

Adrienne Marsha Levy née Gordon passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, with her son by her side.

Born with a vibrant spirit, Adrienne grew up in Skokie, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, and attended Niles Township High School (Niles East). She later relocated to Colorado, with her three children where she built a life centered on family, community, and service.

Adrienne possessed a deep lifelong curiosity. As her children left home for college, she decided to pursue her own educational goals, enrolling at the University of Colorado at Denver. She was immensely proud to graduate in four years with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Adrienne went on to work as a dedicated bookkeeper and accountant for many years. Notably, Adrienne yearned to have a Bat Mitzvah and accomplished that in her mid-40s.

Her faith, culture, and heritage were central to her life. Fluent in Yiddish, Adrienne was deeply involved in her community and served for many years on the Board of the Temple Emanuel Sisterhood. She was also an extraordinary cook who excelled in Jewish cuisine.

Adrienne used food as a language of love, taking every opportunity to feed anyone she met. Her children’s friends were constant fixtures at her house, drawn by her cooking. Adrienne enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren and playing Mahjong with her friends.

Above all, Adrienne believed in giving back. She was incredibly proud of her service as a Denver CASA volunteer, where she spent years fiercely advocating for the safety, well-being, and future of children and youth experiencing abuse and neglect.

Adrienne had a gift for turning ordinary days into unforgettable memories that will live on in everyone who loved her.

Adrienne Levy will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Bobbie Noto, Nancy Simon-Levy, and David Levy; her five grandchildren, Sydney Noto Howell, Ilyssa Simon, Eric Simon, Hannah Levy, and Sol Levy; her great granddaughter, Bella Howell; her brother, Jerry Gordon; her sister-in-law, Shelly Gordon; and her bonus niece Sheryl Henderson.

Graveside, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1:45pm, Emanuel Cemetery; livestream available on Feldman Mortuary YouTube channel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Denver CASA (denvercasa.org) to continue her legacy of supporting children in need.
