Obituary of Sergio Ber
Sergio Ber, 84, passed away on September 2, 2026.
Born in Romania, Sergio immigrated to the United States and built a life defined by generosity, humor, an extraordinary sense of optimism, and an enduring curiosity about the world and the people in it.
Sergio loved conversation. He delighted in sharing experiences and history, telling stories of his travels, and learning about the lives of others. He spoke several languages, traveled widely, accumulated friendships wherever he went, and truly never met a stranger. He always had a story to tell—and usually had time for one more.
He loved live music, cars, and travel, but above all else, he loved family, food, and living fully. Sergio had an enormous appetite for all that life had to offer.
To know Sergio was to know someone who showed up. For birthdays, appointments, school functions, difficult days and ordinary ones, he could always be counted on. He was fiercely loyal to the people he loved and generous with his time, his stories and himself.
Sergio is survived by his loving wife, Judith; his children; his grandchildren; his sister and brother; and other extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his humor, generosity, and larger-than-life presence.
His absence leaves an enormous space in their lives. So does the example he leaves behind: work hard, take care of your family, keep your word, be loyal, stay curious—and don't take yourself too seriously.
A service honoring Sergio's life will be held Thursday, at 1pm, on September 10, at Feldman Mortuary in Denver, Colorado.
A livestream of the service will be available through the Feldman Mortuary YouTube channel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sergio's honor to the American Heart Association.
