Obituary of Mary Hedin
Mary M. Hedin, 88, of Lakewood, CO entered into eternal rest on September 4, 2026.
Mary was born on October 25, 1937 in Steamboat Canyon, Arizona.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Arthur Hedin Sr. She is survived by her sons, Arthur Hedin II, Andrew, and Charles; daughters, Serene and Dorene; grandchildren, Roxanne, Rockelle, Hailey, Sophia, Annalise, Joseph, Nathaniel, and Sammy; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mary was a dedicated homemaker who poured her heart into raising her children. Her family was at the heart of everything she did, and she always made those around her feel loved, supported, and at home. You could always count on Mary to make sure you had something to eat, and no one was likely to leave her home hungry, especially when she made her frybread.
Mary will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and her strong spirit. She was a devoted Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed playing BINGO, and loved relaxing with a good Western or watching Little House on the Prairie.
Her family will forever cherish the memories they made with her, the stories she shared, and the love she brought to their lives. Her Navajo heritage and the legacy she leaves through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will continue to live on for generations to come. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A public viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Chapel Service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Forefront Church, 2112 S. Patton Ct., Denver, CO 80219.
A ceremony at Fort Logan National Cemetery will follow at 1:00 p.m.
