Obituary of Andrea Cohen

Andrea Cohen passed away peacefully Monday afternoon after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She led an incredibly full life as wife to Gary, mother to Madeline and Wilder, Attorney, traveler, hostess and friend.  Born in Dallas in 1962 to Fred and Ann Kahn, she grew up in Harford Connecticut until she was 12, and then Highland Park-Dallas through high school. Andrea attended the University of Colorado in Boulder where she met Gary and got her Bachelor’s degree in Business. She professionally grew a career as a buyer/contracts administrator in technology spaces and concurrently went to law school. As a mom and executive, she earned her law degree from the University of San Diego in 2005. Thereafter, she was In House Counsel for tech companies until she retired in 2017. She will be remembered for the parties and events she threw, the trips around the world that she planned, a generous heart, and the love she shared with everyone in her vast circle of friends and family.
