Obituary of Angela Japha

Angela Japha, wife, best friend, partner and the love of Dan Japha passed away on February 29, 2024. Angela died peacefully and painlessly in her sleep after a courageous fight against a fast moving cancer. She was 66 years old, way too young for someone with her passion for life.

Angela is survived by her husband Dan Japha and her daughter Megan Barry, stepson and daughter-in-law Jon and Maureen Japha and their children William and Henry, stepdaughter and son-in-law Yael and Steve Trainer and their children Finn and Nevi, sisters and brothers-in-law Lynn and Bill Geller, Rivka and David Japha, Raizel and Moshe Japha and Pnina and Alvin Japha and Angela's sister Jvonna Toni Meier Hurst.

Angela was born in Oklahoma City in 1958. She was adopted at birth by her parents Roger and Ilene Bailey.

Angela was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and was a CPA. Later in life, Angela became a very accomplished amateur photographer. Her greatest photographic achievement was to have one of her images published in National Geographic Traveler Magazine. She loved to travel, which she and Dan did extensively for 16 years. Angela used her travel to take thousands of images of her favorite subjects: dramatic landscapes and every kind of wildlife on the planet.

Hundreds of people have been touched by Angela’s infectious smile, passion for life and always positive attitude and energy and of course, her beautiful photo imagery. She will be missed enormously by all who knew her.
