Obituary of Morton Fisher

Mort Fisher, 87, a proud Denver native born December 7, 1923, passed away at his home on June 23, 2011. âPoppa Mortâ was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen. Mort is survived by daughter Laurie Caplan and her four children and five grandchildren; daughter Nancy Sharpe and her two children and four grandchildren; son Hank and his two children; son Mike and his wife Anne and their two children; brothers Beezie Wexler and Charlie Wexler, both of Memphis, TN, and their families; sister-in-law Sima Hayutin of Rancho Mirage, CA, and her family; and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; A graveside service is being held at Mt. Nebo Cemetery on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Helen S. Fisher Cancer Research Funds c/o the Childrenâs Hospital Colorado Foundation, 13123 E. 16th Ave. Box 045, Aurora, CO 80045.
