Obituary of Lawrence Laycob MD

Lawrence Dale Laycob, 72, of Castle Rock, passed away on October 3, 2013. He was born on April 19, 1941 to Leo and Blanche Laycob, in Saint Louis, MO. He attended school at Washington University, University of Missouri Medical School, Barns Jewish Hospital for an internship, and Johns Hopkins Hospital for a Residency in Psychiatry. He also attended an extended program in psychiatry at the Mosley Institute of Psychiatry in London, England. Larry was one of a kind who truly made a mark on this community. His warm spirit and accomplished piano playing will be greatly missed. He was dedicated to his family, grandchildren, and friends as well as a wonderful compassionate physician to his patients. His passions included jazz piano, golf, sweaters, and glass art. Larry is survived by his loving wife Carol; children Jordon (Kimberly) Laycob and Justin Laycob; sister Anita (Alan) Kline; grandchildren Tanner and Connor. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013, 1:00 pm at Temple Sinai. Interment will take place at Mount Nebo Memorial Park.
