Simmons, Seymour Jr., 93, passed away on Oct. 6, 2013, in Cleveland. He was President, CEO, and Chairman of Miller International, Inc., and President of Temple Emanuel and Rotary Club of Denver. Loving husband for 68 years of the late Betty Jane (Block) Simmons; son of the late Seymour, Sr., and Carrie Sternberger Simmons of Greenville, MS; brother of the late Hilda Janet Levitt of Midland, TX, and Joseph Sternberger Simmons of Baton Rouge, LA; devoted father of Seymour (Martine) Simmons III, Rock Hill, SC, and Beverly (Ross Duffin) Simmons, Shaker Heights, OH; beloved grandfather of David (Joanna Huey) Simmons-Duffin, Princeton, NJ; Arielle Simmons, NYC; Selena (Sarah Davidson Ladly) Simmons-Duffin, DC; and Jonah Luc Simmons, NC. Memorial Service, Friday, Oct. 11th at 2:30pm, Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape St. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Rotary Foundation or charity of choice.
