Obituary of Laurie West-Roberts

Laurie Diane West-Roberts was born August 8, 1957 in Denver Colorado to David and Anita West. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, the University of Denver and D.U. Law School. She became a Colorado State Public Defender on her 23rd birthday and later practiced criminal and Energy Law in Maine and Colorado. She donated her time for pro bono work and taught elementary school, where she was known as "Miss Laurie". She was married in 1986 to husband Scott and had two sons, Jacob and Aaron who were everything to her. In addition to her husband, sons and parents, she is survived by her brother David West and her special friends Ginger and Connie who were always at her side. Laurie passed away October 22, 2013 after a long battle with breast cancer and Leukemia A memorial service will be held at Feldman Mortuary, on Friday October 25 at 12pm, reception to follow.
