Steven H. Cohen
1936-2014
Steve Cohen, 78, passed away on May 15th at Swedish Hospital in Denver after a 21-year struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Steve was born on March 18, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in Meteorology and went on to receive a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Denver. Steve was a co-founder of Z-Axis, Corp., a litigation presentation company. He was also a talented and prolific artist, who had many exhibitions in the Denver area. Steve is survived by his wife, Marilyn Heller; his daughters, Debbie (Vince) Abenante and Laura (Joe) Epstein; his sister ,Linda (Jules) Minkes; his stepdaughters, Linda (Alan) Treibitz, Judy (Mark Muller) Heller, and
Audrey Heller; and his 11 grandchildren.
Shiva will be held at the home of Marilyn Heller on Sunday, 5/18, from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (service at 3:30 p.m.) and on Monday, 5/19, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (service at 7:00 p.m.). There will be a memorial service for Steve at B'nai Havurah in Denver on Monday, May 26th, at 11:00 a.m. Donations can be made to The Parkinson Association of the Rockies or to B'nai Havurah.
