Obituary of Ellen Adams

Ellen Oppenheimer Kline Adams, loving mother and grandmother, died Sunday July 5th. She died as she lived, surrounded by family and in the hearts of those who knew her as a friend. She was born in 1929 in Nuremberg, Germany. At the age of seven, Ellen and her parents escaped Nazi Germany under the grace of the 1936 Olympics and the subsequent opening of borders. A Denver resident from 1938 to present, she went on to graduate from East High and receive a Bachelors in Journalism from University of Denver. Ellen loved her children and grandchildren dearly, including those of the furry variety, her Beagles, Molly and Missy. You could always count on witty jokes and purple pansies to warm her Denver home, and those who came to visit. Survived by her husband, Thomas Adams, daughter Robin Kline, son Robert (Karen) Kline, and cherished grandchildren, Lindsey (Phil) Lienert, Colin Stranahan, Spencer (Lauren) Kline, and Mariah Kline.
