Ted and family: we were just informed that Naomi had passed away this morning. e are so very sorry to hear of her passing. You are such wonderful neighbors as well as customers here at Quality Sewing Inc. Naomi always had such a sweet smile and a tender heart. We loved her New York accent even though she lived in Colorado for many years. Our sincerest condolences, Edward and Joan Spengler

On behalf of the WESTBURY High School Class of 1960 who all have been notified of her passing, I send the Thompson family our deepest sympathy. I received in return email acknowledgements today one from one of Naomi's WHS friends stating that 12 years ago she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, it was diagnosed early and she is fine; she made it known in her email today that there is a simple blood test for diagnosing ovarian cancer - she wanted all classmates to know this so I pass this on to whomever might be helped. We were so happy that she was able to enjoy the 50th HS class reunion with all of us. Her smile and radiance were exuberant. If you would, please let me know Sharon Hoare Orfinik's email address,we have lost contact with her in our class' data base.- Penny Mott Thompson

We lived next door to Naomi and Ted in Longmont for many years and enjoyed their gentle and kind spirits. Naomi was such a caring and loving person and gave so much of herself to the community. Naomi you will be dearly missed and yet I know that it is those left behind that have so much pain. You are no longer in pain and you will see the love of your life, Ted, again when Gods timing is right. Ted our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. May God Bless you and Your Family!

Naomi was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. While I didn't know her as well as many others, she always welcomed me into her and Ted's home. I could see by their interaction, and in the way Ted spoke of her, how much she and Ted loved each other. I am blessed for having known Naomi. Ted, Melanie and Mitch, you are in my thoughts and in my heart in these sad hours.

I am deeply saddened by Naomi's loss. I admired and appreciated her artistic talents at Interfaith Quilters. She was a loving and attentive woman and a spiritual soul. I felt a closeness to her because of her understanding of the human condition. She will be deeply missed.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this note on behalf of my wife Denise, our son Campbell and daughter Ally.
We moved across the road from Ted and Naomi back in 2013. We were new to Longmont, and new to Colorado. They welcomed us with open arms and Ted and I became best friends.
I know that Naomi was Ted's rock. She was an amazing woman and I know we will all miss her wonderful laugh (which would make the whole room smile), her terrific sense of humor and her generous spirit.
Her loss is a shock to us all. I know that her in her wisdom, she would want us to move forward and to not mourn too long, but the simple fact is that we cant just yet.
Ted and Melanie, please know that we are here for you and we will do whatever we can to help you gradually come to terms with the loss of your wife and Mom. An amazing woman who contributed so much to her family and to those around her.
Love always
The Chen Family
