Jake had a long and dedicated tenure with the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society and the Colorado Dental Association. He certainly had the respect of his fellow dentists. He always had a smile on his face and was truly a "great guy"

Throughout my time in organized dentistry, "Grump" was a person after whom i modeled my leadership style. He was one of my first professional mentors. He cared about his patients, his friends, his family and his profession especially those of us trying to make our way up the leadership ladder. Jake, you will be greatly missed by all of us who gleaned what you had to offer.... your friendship and your counsel! Rest in Peace.

The Denver Dental Community and the Pediatric Dental Community world-wide has lost one of our greats this week. I only spoke with him on the phone myself a few times, but here is just a little about his esteemed career from our archives.
After receiving his dental degree from Northwestern University in 1950, Dr. Eisenson went on to have one of longest, most successful careers in the history of the dental profession.
After studying under Dr. George Teuscher of Chicago who was the first dentist in the United States to obtain a Master’s Degree in Pedodontics (pediatric dentistry), Eisenson resolved never to work on an adult patient again.
Among his many achievements, Dr. Eisenson pioneered hospitalization for children’s full-mouth-rehabilitation under general anesthesia at St. Anthony Hospital. He is a former staff member of Denver General Hospital, Children’s Hospital and Colorado General Hospital. He has served as a past president for both the Colorado Dental Association and the Metro Denver Dental Society and has won the highest awards of recognition from both.
He shined as a guiding light on what was best for the patient and dentist. We are sure he will continue to shine on in heaven -
Our condolences to his family, what a wonderful legacy he leaves behind.
Sincerely, Elizabeth Price MDDS Executive Director on behalf of myself and the MDDS Board of Directors
