Sid was the nicest and funniest next-door neighbor a kid could ever ask for. He made for the best memories of growing up on South Ivy Street. Rest in peace, Sid. You were a class act all the way.

Sid provided me (Ron) with a much needed part time job years ago at Kiddieland in Lakeside Shopping Center. I worked for him for a period of five to six years and did get to know his parents, his wife Esther, his children Elayne, Mark and Alan and his brother Sol. I have many fond memories of these experiences and, in particular my relationship with Sid. He was a kind, generous and thoughtful man who truly loved his family He had a great sense of humor and, on occasion, would share his heart wrenching experiences regarding the end of World War II dealing with the Holocaust survivors. He was not only a special person for whom to work but also a friend. May you rest in peace, Sid. God Bless You and your Wonderful Family.

My memories of Sid will remain with me for the rest of my life. He was always so kind and warm whenever I had the pleasure to be in his company. I was one of the lucky people to have known him when I was a young person and through the years always got a cheerful greeting like we were regular friends.
Carrying the burden of what he experienced in WWII and the Holocaust always informed his behavior, and he will remain a hero to those he has left behind. People of Sid's generation are irreplaceable, and their example should continue to inspire others to behave in a way that makes this world a better place.
My heartfelt condolences to his family.
Penny Nisson
