Obituary of Per Hedly
Per Hedly passed away December 25, 2016. Per was born in Sweden where he spent his childhood and early adult years. He had a distinguished career as an international banker with Bank of America, first in Copenhagen and then in New York where he moved with his family in 1974.
Per lived his 82 years to the fullest. He was a charming gentleman with a great sense of humor who was universally liked and admired by all who knew him. Per and his wife Robyn were avid duplicate bridge players and they both enjoyed playing not only in cities across the United States but also around the world. In fact Per became a Gold Life Master while playing with Robyn on their 20th anniversary at a bridge club in California. Per and Robyn also spent much of their 25+ years together travelling the world, especially with Robyn's late father Marvin Stone and his companion Susy Grazi.
Per is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-two years, Robyn, his children Anna (Joe) Hedly Goeke and Peter (Carol) Hedly; his siblings Karin Boe, Sven Hedly, Birgitta Heden, and Hans Hedly; and his grandchildren Isabella, Nicholas, and Annika. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbro Lagerstedt.
A memorial service will take place Wednesday, December 28 at 11:00 at Feldman's Mortuary, 1673 York. Contributions may be made to Parkinsons Association of the Rockies, The Denver Hospice or a charity of choice.
