I was so sorry to hear of Phil's passing. He was such a consistently kind man with so many thoughtful and determined ideas. As a former volunteer with the DU Bridge Project, I was delighted at the services and attention provided to the collegiate students right from the very beginning of the program. Phil knew all of them by name and was a such a support to many of them outside of the program.
Phil had a wicked sense of humor and such a wonderful, warm approach to everyone. I loved talking to him. As both a Board member in the late 90s and subsequently an Emeritus Board member, I admired his advice and dignity in solving problems. He is with God now. Kathy French

Ellie and Family,
I want to express my condolences on the passing of Phil. I did not know him very well but the time we spent together at the Club, on the golf course and over the phone always left me with a sense of how truly remarkable a person he was. He was always a supporter and mentor for me. I will miss him.

Dear Elle, Donna and Jordan,
My first position after moving to Denver, in 1986, was with the companies Phil, Phil Abrams and David Gitlitz operated. I eventually became the Executive Assistant for Philips Development Corp. In the five years I was employed there, Phil was always very kind and generous to me, and I learned a lot from him. I will remember his smile and sense of humor. May your happy memories bring you comfort at this difficult time.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Sincerely,
Marie

It was a great privilege to have Phil as a family member.
We as Elle's Israeli cousins, had the great pleasure and honor, to spend valuable time with them, both in Israel & in the USA.
Phil was such a warm, friendly, charming, intelligent person, with a great sense of humor, who always cared about, and was interested in what was going on in Israel.
He was what we call in Yiddish "A Mentsch". He was a unique, lovable, warm-hearted person.
We shall miss him very much!.

I had the privilege of working with Phil as the first Development Director of The Bridge Project. He spent a lot of time teaching and mentoring me in how to be a successful fundraiser, my career to this day. We did raise a lot of money together with the Board of Directors and it was a lot of fun because we knew how many lives would be changed for the better. Phil was so supportive and generous. I really loved Phil and Elle and am so thankful that our paths crossed.
